PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
For founder Donna Elle, Nantucket has been a muse ever since she moved here as a teenager and fell under the spell of its natural beauty. Nantucket is where she chose to design a life for herself, exploring her passion for design first as a dressmaker and then in her bridal and upholstery workroom and through studies at the Rhode Island School of Design. Nantucket is where she chose to raise a family.
The island is part of who she is, and each project is an expression of her kinship with it. With Donna Elle Design, she offers clients an approach that is both highly intuitive and deeply experience-based. Donna has the expertise to project manage and the vision to connect with the potential in any home. She helps clients make their dream home a reality.
SENIOR DESIGNER
In 2016, Donna’s daughter, Katie, joined Donna Elle Design after 15 years in the fashion retail industry. Design is second nature to Katie, who grew up accompanying her mom to job sites, perusing her extensive fabric library, visiting the Boston Design Center, and ultimately sharing her own creative perspective.
Her experiences working for brands like Coach, J. Crew, and Tory Burch kindle fresh ideas for Donna Elle Design. In 2019, Katie introduced Design ID, a tailor-made e-design solution that clients can have delivered directly to their door.
